Tele Pickup Swap

Heres a partscaster I put togather with almost all leftover parts. I finally sprung for a new pickguard and pickup when it was on eBay for 1/3 the normal price. Here's the before and afters. Looks like an easy swap but the new pickup was much larger and I had to take out a lot of wood under the pickguard.

Steaming Neck Off Yamaha 12 String

12 string guitars are notorious for needing neck resets after only a few years being tuned to pitch. Here we are steaming the neck off my uncles Yamaha. SpecIal thanks for letting me work on it. I'm am bummed out I didn't get the shot of the neck actually coming off but the video does show the process.

First Electric Guitar I Ever Built.

Just sharing some pics of the first electric guitar I built. It's a cabronita thinline. I was all excited about the blood wood fingerboard but now I'm second-guessing it and the red binding. I think I'm going to end up stripping off the paint. Now I want to put on thicker white binding and Sunburst it with some red tones to compliment the blood wood. That or just round over the binding and paint right over whats left of it.

If you look in the f hole you will see the loon stamp looking back out at you. The ones in the pickup cavities got sprayed over.

First Acoustic Guitar I Ever Built.

I just wanted to share some pictures of the first acoustic guitar I built last year for any of my friends and family who haven't seen it yet. Special thanks to the people at Northridge hardwoods for the stellar looking maple.

Martin neck reset

The action was getting really high on my Martin and I couldn't lower the saddle anymore so I decided to take the neck off and reset it.

Mandolin progress report

I just wanted to give everybody an update on my mandolin build so far I have taken a square billet. Joined and glued it. Carved out the top carved out the inside and shaped and cut out the F holes. I glued in braces. I have also started hand bending a side.

Bought a Les Paul Top Last Night.

I have also been talking to Lonnie at Creamtone facebook/Creamtone about getting some custom made parts. I should be getting an invoice soon. Lonnie has been super helpful and has really gone above and beyond your typical customer service.
